Biografija

Petra Vidmar je svoje glazbeno obrazovanje počela sa sviranjem klavira u Novom Mestu (Slovenija). Nakon završenog klavira se je odlučila za nastavak na udaraljkama, za koje se je posebno zauzela te magistrirala u lipnju 2012. godine s posebnom pohvalom summa cum laude. Docentica je za udaraljke na Akademiji za glasbo u Ljubljani te solistica Simfonijskog orkestra RTV Slovenije.
Za vrijeme studija je primila tri Prešernove nagrade (dekanove nagrade) Akademije za glazbu.
Usavršavala se na mnogim seminarima i ljetnim školama sa svjetski priznatim udaraljkašima, kao što su Nebojša Jovan Živković, Ivana Bilić, Karatzyna Mycka, Eriko Daimo, Eric Sammut, Svet Stoyanov, Raymond Curtis, Rainer Roemer i drugi.
Osim što sudjeluje na majstorskim tečajima, Petra ih i vodi – u Sloveniji na međunarodnom Orkesterkampu i u Sofiji u Bugarskoj. Sudjelovala je kao članica žirija na slovenskom državnom natjecanju mladih glazbenika (TEMSIG).
Nastupa kao solistica, u komornim skupinama te snima za Radio Slovenija.



Petra Vidmar
started her musical education by taking playing piano lessons. After 8 years, she decided for to pursue percussion and was soon accepted into theon Music Conservatory and later on into Music Academy of in Ljubljana, where she graduated with special honours, »Summa cum Laude«.
At the moment present time, she is a soloist timpanist of the Ljubljana in Radio Symphony Orchestra Ljubljana and she also teaches at theon Music Academy of Music, University of Ljubljana.
During her percussion education, she was awarded 3 times with the Academy's Prešeren Award for students three times.
She was learning from some of the best known in Percussionist in the world, such as Eriko Daimo, Katarzyna Mycka, Nebojša Jovan Živković, Eric Sammut, Svet Stoyanov, Raymond Curfs, Rainer Roemer, Ivana Bilić etc.
Petra also runs masterclasses in Slovenia (Orkerster kamp) and abroad (Bulgaria, Sofia); she was a jury member ato r TEMSIG Slovenian competition TEMSIG, Slovenian competition for young musicians. .
She is performing as a soloist as well as, in different chamber groups, and is a also recording musician for Radio Slovenija.
