Biografija
Andrej Grafenauer počeo je s učenjem gitare kod profesora Tomaža Šegule, a diplomirao je na Visoki školi za glazbu u Grazu v razredu prof. Marge Bäuml-Klasinc. Usavršavao se kod poznatih umjetnika, među njima kod urugvajskog gitarista Abela Carlevara. Kao solist in u malim komornim sastavima nastupao je na koncertima i festivalima u Sloveniji i inostranstvu s repertoarom od renesanse do suvremenih kompozicija. Voditelj je na ljetnim školama i član žirija na međunarodnim natjecanjima. Od 1992. je profesor gitare na Akademiji za glasbo u Ljubljani. Njegovi studenti primili su najviše nagrade na državnim i međunarodnim takmičenjima. Izdao je više CD-a, dva s kompozicijama slovenskih skladatelja, a druge s baroknom ili romantičnom literaturom za gitaru i gitarski duo. Između 2009. i 2017. bio je dekan Akademije za glasbo u Ljubljani. Za svoje umjetničko djelovanje na glazbenom području je ljeta 2000. primio je Betettovu nagradu, a za pedagoški rad Zlatnu plaketu ljubljanskog univerziteta.

Andrej Grafenauer started the guitar studies with professor Tomaž Šegula. He has been the recipient of the High School of Music in Graz where he graduated in the class under the professor Marge Bäuml-Klasinc. A. Grafenauer had additional training with internationally renowned artists, such as the Uruguayan guitarist Abel Carlevaro. Andrej Grafenauer appears as a guitar soloist, small chamber groups musician at concert cycles and festivals in Slovenia. He performed all around Europe as well, including performances from different periods and orientations, from the renaissance period to contemporary compositions. He is now an internationally acclaimed artist, who teaches at the Ljubljana Music Academy as a professor of guitare since 1992, gives master classes and also serves as a judge for important international guitar competitions. His highest achieving students are winners of the international and domestic competitions. He has recorded several CDʾs, among them two works by Slovenian composers, while others are mainly from barogue and romantic era and are dedicated to literature for guitare solo and guitrare duo. From 2009 till 2017 he was the Dean at Ljubljana Music Academy of the University of Ljubljana. He was awarded the prize of the Slovene Music Artists Association, the Betetto award for the best original music achievements and Ljubljana University Golden plaque for his pedagogical work.
